Welcome to Nutrition Services!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.


Get help buying food while schools are closed.
Families with children who already receive CalFresh, CalWorks or certain Medi-Cal
benefits do not need to apply.
They will get their P-EBT card in the mail during the month of May.
P-EBT cards will begin arriving around May 7, 2020 through May 22, 2020.

Families with children who are currently eligible for free and reduced-price meals,
and do not receive their P-EBT card in the mail by May 22, 2020,
Must apply online between May 22nd and  June 30th

The Rowland Unified School District serves approximately 14,000 students in the communities of Rowland Heights, Walnut, La Puente, City of Industry, and West Covina. Make checks payable to: Rowland Unified School District – Nutrition Services. Please include your child’s name and school on the check.

Parents can also add to to their students' accounts online by going to To set up an account, the student's name and 10-digit ID number will be required. A transaction fee of $2.60 will be charged.
